Maternity Nurse

Baby harryWhat type of care are you looking for?

Do you need ante-natal or post-natal help?

Do you need day time or night time help?

I am able to offer flexible assistance to help you during your pregnancy or after the birth of your baby/babies.  I have experience with single babies, twins and triplets as well as babies with colic and reflux, premature babies, and low birth weight babies.

DAY HELP

I will come and help you as a post natal doula for as little as three hours a day offering help & advice as well as emotional and practical support as needed.  I can answer antenatal questions and help you prepare for your new arrival.

For post natal care, I am available to help settle you and your new baby/babies into your home after the birth. I am happy to support you with feeding the baby (breast and/or bottle), changing your baby and general care of the baby.  I am happy to take the baby/babies out for a walk or runsmall errands, allowing you to catch up on some much needed rest.  My role is a supporting role and I work together with you as part of a united team, with everyone working together to achieve a happy, settled family.

NIGHT HELP

The reason most people need a night nanny is to get their bundle of fun into a night time routine that suits the whole family. Sometimes, you may just need an extra pair of hands for what is at times an exhausting period. I can be available for up to 5 nights a week and generally work 9pm until 7am.  If you need care outside of these hours, please contact me to discuss your needs.

As a night nanny I require the use of a pillow and blanket and somewhere to doze whilst on duty, with the baby ideally sleeping in the same room as me.  If you require me to be awake all night, this is chargeable at a higher rate. Please contact me for details.

While in your home, I am responsible for the overall care of the baby/babies including:

  1. Night feeds
  2. Change nappies
  3. Settle the baby/babies
  4. Give advice on breastfeeding
  5. Prepare and sterilise bottles
  6. Dress and prepare the baby/babies in the morning
  7. Give help and advice on getting the baby/babies into a sleep routine

This enables you to get a good night’s sleep knowing that their baby/babies are being cared for and having all of their needs met.

WEEKEND HELP

I can be available as a live in or live out maternity nurse/nanny over the weekend.  This can be ad hoc or on a permanent basis.  Please contact me for more information

Overall, I am there to help and guide you when you need me to!

When booking in advance, I will require you to sign a contract and pay a deposit of one week’s fees to guarantee that you get the specific times and dates that you require. This money will be deducted from the last week’s salary. The deposit is due on signing the contract. You will also be required to pay a retainer of 50% of the agreed salary from the agreed start date until commencement of the position if the baby is late.
